How to Seasonal Adjust Sprinklers

Hey, James with tuxedo yard care. Today I want to talk to you about water budgets on your timer or sometimes it’s called seasonal adjust. This is a great tool that I think a lot of people miss out on. And so I thought I’d share it real quick and hopefully it helps some people out. So the water budget. So this is an orbit beehive timer, pretty popular timer, it’s a Wi-Fi, you can control it from your phone as well. Pretty cool stuff. But the older timers that are not Wi-Fi controlled, they do have this as well. Most of them not all timers but most of them have this feature. So basically what you want to do at this particular time, or you can scroll down here to budget and hit accept on that. And then this budget, so 150 is not where you want to set it most the time. That’s pretty high. But anyway, basically, when you change this water budget, it changes the time of every single zone that you have running based on the percent that you set.

So for easy math, let’s say you set it, every zone was set at 10 minutes well, and if you set the water budget at 50%, it’s going to automatically change all of those zones to water for five minutes instead of 10. So that you don’t have to go through each individual zone and change that time through the season. You just use this budget or seasonal just to get it done for you. It doesn’t change watering days or anything like that. So you still got to watch that, but it just helps with changing watering zones throughout the season. So that just makes a little easier. Pretty cool tool. I really like it. I just thought I’d share it real quick. If you need any help or have any questions want to talk to us, it’s tuxedo yard care.com, or give us a call at 15404713.
