Layton Lawn Cutting Experts

Hi, James with tuxedo yard care. Today I want to talk with you about edges and why it’s important to do it properly for the health of your lawn. So a lot of people tend to want to cut it on a 45 because they’re trying to get it down even with the concrete and get it, keep it from hanging over the concrete and it’s not the right way to do it because if you do that, it’s going to cut it too short. It’s going to remove color, which is going to make it look a little uglier. And then also you’re going to invite weeds in because the lawns have a hard time recovering so you’re gonna end up with crabgrass and spurge and other weeds that you don’t want.

So what you want to do is exactly what our crew did back behind me here. You cut the lawn on a perfectly straight with the mower, same height as the mower all the way across all the way to the edge and then you cut a 90 degree edge with a metal blade edger or you can even do it with a trimmer and just cut a nice edge right there. You do it that way the lawns gonna look beautiful, it’ll look healthy, and you won’t have any issues with weeds or anything like that. So that’s it. Give us a call if you have any questions or visit our website tuxedo yard care.com Thanks, bye.
